- Confirm purchase orders within 24 hours
- Alert Buy/Planner of any discrepancies in orders
- Work with Buyer/ Planner on problem resolutions
- Communicate with Sales and Customer Service on all order questions and date confirmations
- Manage and assist with parts orders
- Follow up on all purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery, typically within two weeks of shipment
- Change memo codes as appropriate
- Other Duties as assigned
- Experience in Accounting or Purchasing
- Proficiency in MS applications ERP , and Sourceday literacy
- Technical aptitude a plus
- Experience in/aptitude for Customer Service
- Comfort in MS applications
- Willingness to learn
- Proactive, self-motivated
- Knowledge in costing
- Ability to work well with changing priorities
- Ability to work well with others & under pressure
- Knowledge of labels and applications

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will contribute to the success of the company by developing good working relationships with vendors and employees to ensure the best possible flow of accurate order processing and shipments for our company and our customers.
