- Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three (3) years teaching experience.
- Valid Alabama certification in administration/supervision.
- Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No
- Comprehensive knowledge of current curriculum and instructional practices and trends.
- Ability to plan and organize effectively.
- Ability to evaluate the work of others.
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a wide variety of people and groups, including, but not limited to, students, faculty, staff, parents, and community members.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of school law.
- Successful previous experience in maintaining effective discipline.
- Ability to plan and conduct faculty meetings.
- Physical mobility, dexterity, strength and visual acuity to perform job responsibilities.
- Ability to solve problems as a productive team member.
- Ability to use and facilitate the use of technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial information.
- Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.
