SMART is actively recruiting for EM locum physicians for coverage in Paducah, KY. Coverage is needed as soon as credentialed

Need: 15-20 Day & Night Shifts

FACILITY INFORMATION

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine
• Board requirement (Example BE/BC EM, FM, IM): BC EM
• Will an FM candidate be accepted? Will consider ABIM & ABFM candidates with 5+ years of ED experience
• Please list what life Support Certifications are Required: currently ACLS, PALS and ATLS but these are in the process of being removed if EM boarded
• COVID vaccine or exemption form required? Yes

• Reason for Locum need? Resignations
• Start Date: ASAP
• How many shifts per month in Locum Coverage will help stabilize the program? 15-20
• Is the Locum Coverage needed short-term (3-6 months) or long-term (6+ months)? Long term
• Is the Locum Coverage needed for a specific shift type: Days & nights
• Temp/Emergency Privileges granted? Yes

• Annual Patient Volume: 35,000
• Patients per Hour:1.5-2
• ED Bed Count:35
• Shift Times / Coverage Details: 630a-530p, 10a-10p, 630p-630a
• APC Hours of Coverage: 24
• Scribe Coverage: None
• EMR: Epic
• Admitting Orders: Is the ED Physician responsible for writing the orders? no
• Who responds to codes, EM or HM? Both. EM is mainly responsible for airways.
• Trauma Center Designation: N/A
