    Overview - The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for project management by monitoring factory relationships and performance, product quality issues and resolution, logistics, fulfillment, communications, and overall performance in producing our product. This position reports to our CFO with additional reporting to ownership.


    Duties Overview:

    • Order Placement Review - review orders submitted by Account Executives for cost strategy, factory utilization management, including waiver of mold fees, ensuring multiple factories bidding on $5k +, etc.
    • Case Resolution Leadership - address any product issues from a factory that has a quality or shipping problem until delivery to the customer.
    • Account Executive (AE) Liaison Coordination - assist in order and project review, provide technique recommendations, quote projects & sales strategies, work closely with Production Coordinator.
    • Factory contacts and communication - ensure consistent and efficient communications between SP and factories, including non-core factory order management. Negotiate best pricing, terms, and scheduling with factories.
    • Product Testing and Safety Audits - manage documentation for audits, safety, GCC, and other social and safety compliance documents, including Factory Audit Chart Update.
    • Production Risk Assessment - especially for non-core items and across factories, as well as large order production and fulfillment.
    • Production Department Master Documents - maintain product information in an effective filing system, ensure updated and accurate info maintained by Product Coordinator, maintain Production Department File Folder including historical documents, technique training documents, etc.
    • Competition Analysis - gather competitive intelligence on competitors, utilize shipping tracker Pangeeva, conduct lost business analysis, gather factory information, etc.
    • New factory exploration - seek out new partners to keep SP competitive and innovative, conduct competitive analysis testing, and explore new product sourcing.
    • Technique Training - present to sales staff with formal periodic updated refreshers at least annually.
    • Management of Freight Strategies - negotiate annual price and service agreements, problem-solve, mitigate tariffs; monitor freight strategy determination on an order/shipment level.
    • Maintain Factory Communications Manual - conduct annual updates, ensure factory compliance with SP standards.
    • Process Review for Improvement - include trend spotting for delays, errors, etc.
    • Production Coordinator/Communications Backup - as needed.
