We are GDIT. General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for our Air Force customer in Hampton, VA.

How a Senior Network Engineer Will Make an Impact:

Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problemsPerforms maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networksMaintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capabilityCoordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as neededCreates plans and configures systems for data communication networksDesigns and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networksEvaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the networkMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assignedMay coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionalsWhat You'll Need to Succeed:Active Secret clearance (TS eligible)Must meet the certification requirement of DoD Directive and M or otherwise stated in individual task order.

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNA) (Highly Preferred)Enterprise Level Network ExperienceOnsite in Hampton, VirginiaBA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experienceGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
