    Talisman Advisory Partners is excited to be working with one of the largest global environmental consultancies to add a CEQA/NEPA Leader to their team in California.

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead CEQA/NEPA compliance efforts. As a CEQA/NEPA Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects comply with environmental regulations and mitigate potential impacts. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for CEQA/NEPA compliance across all projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
    2. Project Management: Oversee the CEQA/NEPA process for multiple projects simultaneously, including scoping, environmental impact analysis, public involvement, and documentation preparation.
    3. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in CEQA/NEPA regulations and guidelines and ensure that all projects adhere to relevant requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
    4. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of environmental specialists, planners, and consultants involved in CEQA/NEPA compliance efforts.
    5. Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to gather input, address concerns, and facilitate consensus on environmental issues.
    6. Budget and Resource Management: Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for CEQA/NEPA compliance activities, optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    7. Training and Development: Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge in CEQA/NEPA compliance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Biology, Ecology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental planning, with a focus on CEQA/NEPA compliance.
    • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying CEQA/NEPA regulations, guidelines, and methodologies.
    • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
