    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with over two years of large hospital ER experience and current KY or compact RN license.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a 23-bed Emergency Room within a hospital setting
    • Patient population includes a variety of emergency and acute medical cases
    • Shifts are 07:00-19:30, with a 36/48 hour weekly rotation (36 hours one week, 48 hours the next)
    • Orientation is bi-weekly unless otherwise specified
    • No locals accepted; candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
    • Previous travel experience is preferred
    • Responsibilities include delivering emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
    • Must be able to provide care independently in a fast-paced setting
    • All submitted candidates must provide two professional references and a copy of driver's license
    • Travel pairs are not allowed unless there is a specific, unit-based exception
    • First-time travelers will be considered if all experience and credential requirements are met

    Requirements

    • Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
    • A minimum of 2 years of current emergency room experience in a large hospital setting is required
    • Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, CPI Blue Card from Crisis Prevention Institute
    • Reliable transportation is necessary due to limited ride share programs in the area
