Job Description
The Salesforce Lead is a strategic, process-oriented leader responsible for driving adoption, effective use, and continuous improvement of the Salesforce platform across the organization. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and IT to deliver high-impact training, improve user engagement, and identify opportunities to enhance processes, reporting, and governance. The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce expertise, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to translate complex systems into practical, value-driven solutions
Core Responsibilities
Business Development, Leadership, & Strategic Planning
- Serve as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders by identifying opportunities to improve Salesforce adoption, usability, and overall business value.
- Analyze current-state usage to identify gaps, underutilized functionality, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and communicate a clear roadmap for Salesforce enablement aligned with business development, marketing, and operational objectives.
- Maintain awareness of industry, technology, and Salesforce platform trends to inform future-state recommendations.
- Influence and align stakeholders across functions by tailoring messaging to varying levels of technical understanding.
- Support change management and transformation initiatives related to Salesforce enhancements and new capabilities.
Operations
- Design, develop, and deliver Salesforce training programs for small groups, large teams, and functional verticals.
- Create and maintain recorded and on-demand training resources to support ongoing learning and onboarding.
- Provide continuing education to users related to new Salesforce initiatives, feature releases, and technical updates.
- Manage the Salesforce inbox as a primary point of escalation for user requests and issues.
- Establish and maintain inbox best practices, including service-level expectations, intake processes, and decision frameworks.
- Use insights from inbox activity to identify systemic issues, training needs, access gaps, or process improvements.
- Train end users to self-serve within Salesforce, coordinating with IT and Salesforce administrators to align on capabilities and next steps.
- Develop and distribute reports, insights, and recommendations based on internal data and external research.
- Support policy and process development related to Salesforce usage, governance, and evaluation.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in consulting or related professional services environments, with extensive Salesforce experience.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training and enablement programs to audiences at multiple organizational levels.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and attention to detail in handling sensitive data and stakeholder requests.
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of Salesforce functionality, reporting, and user enablement best practices.
- Strong process-mapping skills with the ability to identify gaps in capabilities, understanding, and execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust messaging based on audience needs.
- Experience developing training materials, presentations, and documentation for both live and on-demand delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment.
- Familiarity with change management principles and transformation communications preferred.
- Experience working in professional services, consulting, regulated, matrixed, or growth-oriented organizations preferred.
Additional Information
The annualized base salary range for this role is $120k to $140k.
