The AstraZeneca's US BioPharma Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) Team plays a pivotal role in the field of respiratory disease, including asthma, COPD, and IPF, by developing a range of unique potential medications through the use of innovative combinations, biologics, and devices. The pipeline also includes several promising assets for inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, systemic lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis. As a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist for R&I Primary Care Team, you will be instrumental in leveraging our scientific expertise to positively impact the lives of patients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth product and disease state knowledge and engage healthcare professionals effectively to discuss clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles for on-label prescribing.
• Demonstrate sales proficiency to independently drive sales performance and exceed sales forecasts and assigned budgets.
• Complete training requirements, including product examinations, successfully.
• Acquire and maintain a comprehensive understanding of market, demographic, and managed care information specific to the assigned sales territory.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to devise a local strategy and business plan for boosting sales in the territory.
• Utilize a variety of promotional resources, personnel, and analytical tools to implement Strategic Targeting Plans effectively and capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities in the assigned sales territory.
• Offer specialized education to healthcare providers through compliant programs aligning with AstraZeneca's ethical standards.
• Coordinate selling efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists towards common objectives.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge of the medical, healthcare, or pharmacy industry and experience in clinical settings, preferably within Respiratory therapeutic areas
• Previous sales experience

• Results-focused with effective time management abilities
• Capacity to learn, analyze, understand, and convey complex information
