Enterprise security teams leverage Censys to keep pace with the speed of the business and gain an advantage on the rapidly evolving cyber-attack threats.

Role Summary:

We are looking for an Accountant to support our Finance Team with general accounting tasks and projects including Billing and Payroll.

You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Controller to ensure the books are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

What you'll do:
Nurture a positive and collaborative working relationship within the finance team
Become familiar with accounting and internal control processes
Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
Collaborate with RevOps to process customer billing in Maxio
Maintain Accounts Receivable and Cash Sheet on weekly basis
Monitor accounts, identify and document collection issues
Approve sales tax returns in Avalara and monitor sales tax requirements
Process semi-monthly payroll for US and International entities through Rippling
Process off-cycle and termination payrolls
Work with Rippling to stay compliant with state and local tax requirements
Process accrual entries for month end
Perform P&L review for coding, class and location accuracy
Review P&L results to ensure accuracy and provide input for any variances
Assist with annual audit and with special projects as needed

Skills you'll need:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent experience
3+ years of Accounting experience (startup a plus)
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
SaaS revenue recognition ASC606
Sales tax experience
Proficient in QBO, Maxio (SaasOptics) or other accounting software
Experience using NetSuite a plus

Our target salary range for this role is between $82,000 USD and $105,000 USD + bonus eligibility and equity.
