    General Clerk III Job Summary

    We are seeking General Clerks to work on a temporary assignment with the State of NM - Early Childhood Education and Care Department.

    About the Position

    The selected candidate will be responsible for reducing childcare assistance application processing time, reviewing applications and recertifications, supporting accuracy of payments, and providing customer service.

    • Screen childcare assistance applications and identify over-payments
    • Assist with distribution process for one-time payments and identify overpayments
    • Review paperwork submitted by clients for accuracy. Interview clients to assess need for care.Determine eligibility create placement agreements using internal database.SEND correspondence TO clients AND providers.IMPLEMENT follow Federal AND state policies regarding program.
    • HAVE minor duties related to searching issues WITH application processing AND support other local regional staff AS required
