Wayne County Airport Authority, Technology Services is conducting solicitation actions for the staffing of a Senior Software Engineer. The expected duration of the engagement is six (6) months with the possibility of extension or hire.

Senior Software Engineer

Proposal Due Date:

A complete proposal consists of the candidate's Resume, Solicitation Check sheet and a completed IT Staffing Proposal Form.

US Proposals will be evaluated as received. Only one (1) candidate per submission. Maximum of three candidates per company.

Background: The Technology Services department of the Wayne County Airport Authority is responsible for providing and managing the Airport Authority's technology needs for both Detroit Metro and Willow Run airports. The current technologies used to develop/support software include .NET, SharePoint, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS.

Scope of Services: The Airport Authority is seeking full-time, qualified local candidates to develop and support both web and mobile solutions. The successful candidate will be analyzing and modifying existing software as well as designing, constructing and testing end-user applications that meet user needs. Furthermore, the candidate will follow the software development lifecycle as well as troubleshoot support tickets.

General Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have: 1. A 4-yr college degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. An understanding of the business use and capabilities of information technologies and software business applications.
3. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
4. Ability to deliver appropriate project statuses to different levels of management.

Technical Qualifications:
WCAA is looking for candidates who possess the following skillsets: 1. 5 years of experience as a full stack developer

Backend:
ASP.NET, C#
b

Frontend:
JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS

Well versed in creating User Interfaces

c. MVC framework, .NET Core
d

Web Services:
REST APIs

2. 5 years of experience with SQL Server. (CRUD, stored procedures)
3. 5 years of experience with Report Development using SSRS.
4. 3 years of experience in DevOps and source code repositories.
5. 3 years of experience as a SharePoint Developer

Preferred Qualifications:
1. 3 years of experience developing and maintaining Drupal websites
2. Experience developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) systems (UIPATH).
3. Experience developing reports using Information Builders WebFocus.
4. Microsoft Certified Developer for SharePoint, and Azure
