    Your role.

    Your work will include, but not be limited to:

    * Engages in collections operations

    * Analyzes major accounts and reviews for complex collection activities

    * Analyzes large engagements and aged WIP balances to ensure timely billing

    * Develops and implements record-keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to billing, processing payments, and other collection activities

    * Develops and pursues collection strategies

    * Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies and suggests appropriate corrective procedures

    * Communicates and coordinates accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department and Firm managers and officials, vendors, reporting agencies, clients, and the public

    * Adheres to all collection policies, procedures, and KPIs

    * Maintains a positive working environment and resolves grievances

    * Contacts various credit sources, ensures credit packages or client's financial status is complete, and notifies partners of delinquent payments

    * Contacts clients and partners to follow up on past due accounts to arrange for timely payment


    The qualifications.

    * 3-5 years of collection experience

    * Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required

    * Experience with accounts receivable is preferred and some experience working within a professional services firm collections department is highly preferred

    * Frequently positions self to bend and lift packages

    * Occasional moving & lifting of equipment; bending, lifting, and climbing required to position self to maintain computers during engagements

    * Person in position needs to occasionally move about the inside of the office to access machinery, cabinets, etc.

    * Person in position frequently communicates with individuals who have inquires. Must be able to exchange information in these situations.

    * Analytical ability required to:

    * Identify variances and research questions regarding financial activity and provide explanations.

    * Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes & procedures

    * Ability to coordinate information flow with multiple sources (Management, Partnership, team, staff, etc.)

    * Technology skills including those required to be proficient with financial accounting and reporting systems and other word/graphics programs (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint)

    * Core certification required.

    * Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to:

    * Promote positive working relationships with diverse personalities/roles at all levels in the firm and client base

    * Explain and interpret accounting/financial information to non-financial people

    Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB Information



    Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.



    Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.



    Colorado monthly base range is as follows:


    $3,750.00 to $5,416.67

    We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
