Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, driving exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and team engagement. As the face of the restaurant, you will oversee daily operations, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and foster a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver memorable dining experiences while maintaining profitability and efficiency.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure smooth daily functioning.
- Lead hiring, training, coaching, and developing staff to uphold high standards of customer service and food quality.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Supervise food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen and dining areas.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet customer demand during peak hours.
- Implement budgeting strategies to control costs while maintaining quality service and food standards.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, staff training & development, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Oversee kitchen management including food production, culinary standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with catering teams for banquet events or special functions to deliver seamless service experiences.
Skills
- Proven management experience within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Extensive knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and culinary best practices.
- Strong proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and reporting.
- Demonstrated supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant management roles with a focus on team leadership.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Experience in inventory control, budgeting, food safety standards, and food production processes.
- Ability to train staff effectively in food safety procedures, culinary techniques, and customer service excellence.
- Skilled in shift management, staff interviewing & onboarding, and performance development strategies.
- Familiarity with hotel or catering experience is a plus; barista or coffee experience is advantageous for beverage operations.
- Leadership qualities that motivate teams toward shared goals while maintaining high standards of hospitality management.
