- Contract Duration 6+ Months
- Previous experience setting up and operating various Manual and/or CNC machine tools, including vertical and horizontal mills, lathes, drill presses, band saws, grinders, presses, and other shop equipment with minimal guidance or training.
- Machinist assembles and/or repairs various parts, mechanisms, tools, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or machines, applying knowledge of machining practices, mechanics, shop mathematics, and metal properties.
- Interpret required documentation such as blueprints, sketches, specifications, CNC programs, and detailed routings, and capable of following detailed instructions either written or oral.
- Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications by inspecting dimensions and requirements using calibrated measuring instruments.
- Must be capable of holding close tolerances and fine micro finishes and must consistently produce parts within the established quality and cost parameters.
- Machinists must possess knowledge in the machinability of ferrous and non-ferrous materials as well as plastics, fiber, and rubber materials and have a good working knowledge of various types of cutting tools including the ability to determine the correct speeds and feeds.
- 2nd Shift-2:30 PM-11 PM Monday -Friday
- Training Process-Come in on the 1st shift, to get used to the machines & paperwork.
