Job Summary

The Staff Accountant shall provide knowledgeable, accurate and professional support to the Director of Finance.

With great attention to detail, the Staff Accountant must have the ability to independently analyze and report data, enter and maintain financial information and work with district staff members in an efficient and timely manner so that overall district objectives may be achieved.

The Staff Accountant is expected to understand and maintain GAAP (generally acceptable accounting principles) and UFARS (Uniform Financial Accounting and Reporting Standards).

Education/Certification Requirement:

2 years of post-secondary education, 4-year degree preferred or any combination of applicable experience and education.

Experience:

1 to 2 years of previous experience with 2 years of education.
0 to 1 years of previous experience with a 4-year degree.
Prior experience in school finance preferred.
