    Summary of Role

    The Director, FP&A is a critical role within the Finance team at Palmetto responsible for the planning and financial analysis for the Palmetto Finance business unit and its brand, LightReach.

    This role will report to the VP FP&A and will be the primary business partner to the Chief Capital Markets, Chief Business Officer.

    This individual will work with the Palmetto Finance business to develop and refine forecasts, to optimize pricing and business strategies, and to drive efficiencies.

    The Palmetto Finance business, and the LightReach platform, are central to Palmetto's overall strategy and are the fastest growing segments within the company.

    Additionally, this function will interact with external investors in the LightReach projects and serve as a liaison to them within Palmetto.

    This is a unique opportunity to build out the function and team as the company continues to scale its products in new markets across the country.

    Strategic & Tactical
    Establish a strong finance function that can partner with the Chief Capital Markets, Chief BusinessOfficer and the other leaders of the Palmetto Finance organization to solve complex problems and drive financial performance
    Be a key leader in planning, providing insight into business performance, supporting strategic decision-making and bringing more predictability to the business
    Drive real-time visibility into targets and metrics, interpreting key performance indicators, and actively engaging in discussions around investment decisions
    Analyze and advise on product launches or pricing changes
    Find opportunities to drive higher margins and improve working capital through scale and optimization
    Serve as a primary point of contact with asset fund investors and coordinate reporting to them as needed.
    Support analytics on ways to optimize financial structures and their interaction with various channel models
    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field, MBA preferred
    8+ years of experience, preferably within various Finance or Accounting functions, including at least 3 years in Financial Planning & Analysis
    Experience with solar financing, preference for third party ownership products
    Analytical thinker with enthusiasm for complex problem solving, passion for clean energy and excellent interpersonal skills
    Strong familiarity with corporate finance concepts, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking and practical knowledge of valuation methodologies
    Proven track record in FP&A at larger organizations, and preferably at publicly traded companies
    Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership to influence decision making and drive strong outcomes
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to present and tailor communications to diverse audiences, and convey complex concepts in a manner that is easily understood at all levels
    Strong attention to detail; ability to produce error-free documents
    Main KPI's
    Establish strong relationships with business leaders, with a seat at the table for all key decisions
    Develop standardized reporting around key KPIs that can drive improved business performance and achieve company targets
    Forecast accuracy, development of risk and opportunity frameworks to bound variance, and clear reporting on actual performance vs. plans and forecast
