    Description
    Summary:

    This position is responsible for on-time delivery of high quality performance reports compliant with company management needs, corporate directives, and compliant with government reporting and filing requirements for George Fischer Corporation. This position oversees and directs banking in the US.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Oversees and directs treasury, (banking, internal and external financing and lending to subsidiaries), budgeting, auditing, tax planning, tax provisioning, tax deferrals, tax sharing, accounting, long-range forecasting.
    • Provides monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as quarterly financial analysis of subsidiaries. Directs the accountants in providing and directing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and includes accounting for services performed on behalf of the subsidiaries, such as the medical/dental premium and legal fee rebilling.
    • Creates, reviews and updates periodically a tax sharing agreement and coordinates planning and execution of Federal and State tax filings between the Georg Fischer subsidiaries. Directs and coordinates tax planning activities including of modeling of options. Utilizes outside accounting services with regard to audit of tax provisions as well as settlement of tax benefits, planning and final payments.
    • Oversees and coordinates treasury/financing activities with banking institutions, Georg Fischer and US subsidiaries. Maintains proper systems and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Directs and coordinates governmental reporting.
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Detailed knowledge of US tax regulations and ability to participate with tax consultants, direct reports on tax planning opportunities as well as provision and compliance reporting.
    • Strong understanding of the US banking system and best practices beyond required controls.
    • Strong understanding of financial accounting, Swiss reporting requirements, and company directives for the preparation of financial statements and services provided to other US companies.
    • Demonstrate strong supervisory, communication, and leadership skills to be effective in building positive relationships
    • Ability to work across all levels of the organization ranging from MDs, HR, and controllers of US companies and international partners
    • Proactive personality that delivers results for strategic planning opportunities as well as for reoccurring financial and government compliance reporting.
    Education and Experience:
    • Master's degree (M. A.) in Finance or Accounting or equivalent; or seven to ten years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Certified Public Accounting Certificate, preferred.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
    • Exhibit strong leadership and problem solving skills
