    Description


    Blacklock Financial are partnered with a boutique investment bank, covering A&D in the upstream space, who are searching for an engineer to join the team.


    Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with senior team members to evaluate potential acquisition and divestiture opportunities for upstream oil and gas assets.
    Apply petroleum engineering principles to assess reservoir characteristics, production potential, and economic viability of target assets.
    Conduct reserve evaluations and decline curve analyses to inform financial modeling and valuation assessments.
    Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations for client meetings and investment pitches.
    Conduct due diligence activities, including reviewing engineering reports, regulatory compliance, and environmental considerations.
    Analyze industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify strategic opportunities for clients.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or a related field; advanced degree (MSc or MBA) preferred.
    Strong understanding of reservoir engineering concepts, including decline analysis, well performance evaluation, and reserve estimation.
    Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, with the ability to translate technical data into financial metrics.
    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry and familiarity with A&D transactions preferred.
