    Description

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Delivery Drivers deliver and distribute our products promptly to our customers. Operate standing seam, soffit, and gutter machines to produce metal panels for roofing and buildings on grounds and/or customer sites. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner aimed at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • Must attend onsite training to learn how to operate the Standing Seam Machine (2 week duration)
  • Maintain and operate the vehicle in accordance with all laws and Cornerstone Building Brands policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all loads are delivered safely, accurately, and timely to correct address without damage to customer/company property
  • Always take photos of each delivery/drop, with use of iPad
  • Receive work orders for jobs from team lead
  • Coordinating with Dispatch to meet job completion times
  • Use forklift or Moffett to handle heavy weight metal coils or materials
  • Changing out machine rollers for different panel profiles
  • Traveling to jobsites to run material on-site for customers
  • Report any accidents or damages immediately to Team Lead or office
  • Collect payment from customer/company site and deliver all payments to front office
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to company, OSHA, and DOT safety guidelines
  • This position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts with risk of injury and risk of electrical shock
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
  • Wear the proper protective equipment as required
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion
  • Qualifications
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Have an acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record
  • 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
  • Valid Medical Card
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in degrees of precision and control where damage could be considerable
  • Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing work
  • Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
