    Project Director – Water Treatment

    We are looking to hire a Project Director to oversee our Water Treatment projects for our rapidly growing business unit in New Braunfels, TX. In partnership with the Civil TX Business Unit Leader, this role is responsible for the overall management and direction of the preconstruction and construction efforts on assigned projects.

    The Project Director role is a dynamic position encompassing business development / client interaction with estimating and field operations responsibilities. The Project Director for Keeley is a key liaison between the office and the field helping to build the business and expand Keely's influence in the marketplace through regular contact with owners, engineers, product representatives.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • In partnership with the Business Unit Leader, this position will develop, execute, and direct the planned initiatives and projects for the group focusing on water treatment projects.
    • Provides Leadership to the group in the allocation of resources to ensure a high level of organization, cooperation, communication, and accuracy in managing the relationship and operational issues of all projects.
    • Helps coach and develop the assigned team members to grow their skillsets in effectively managing projects and clients.
    • Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
    • Lead the subcontractor prequalification effort. Provide, with input from Estimating, a list of suggested bidders in each work category for Owner's approval.
    • Utilizes tools and relationships in the industry between owners, engineers, product representatives to know what projects are being planned. Understands what stage they are in and how we can position ourselves to capitalize.
    • Formulates strategies such as early outreach to clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to position Keeley for a win. Create operational project plans to assist the estimating teams with bidding the work as well as strategically aligning Keeley with the Owner to win projects.
    • Grows, builds, and nurtures relationships in the targeted business markets with clients, and suppliers.
    • Creates and sustains an effective network of contacts in the targeted business markets through trade, subcontractors, material supplier, industry, and professional organizations.
    • Full Responsibility for project P&L, schedule, manpower, quality, and project team performance.
    • Responsible for managing the owner relations, contract, and interface.
    • Emphasis will be placed upon being able to recruit field operations talent to help further the W/WW vertical business within Keeley.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • 10+ years in the construction, water treatment, or related industries performing the similar primary responsibilities listed.
    • Strong leadership and management skills in managing an organization, department, or group.
    • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite
