Specialized care includes orthopedic and surgical services, ICU, women's services, a newborn nursery, comprehensive cardiovascular care from diagnostics to open heart surgery, vascular lab, sleep center, emergency services, the CHRISTUS Weight Loss Institute, wound care, rehabilitation, and more.

Summary:
Manages the nursing services and staff for a department; ensures quality and full compliance with relevant policies and standards.
Responsibilities:
Implementing and monitoring programs and practices for the delivery of safe and efficient quality nursing care for patients and their families Ensuring consistent application of nursing services policies and standards throughout the organization Monitoring patient outcomes and quality and effectiveness of nursing care Overseeing performance of teams; identifying and addressing staff training and development needs Apprising medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service and strategies
Financial Management:

Requirements:
Education Graduate of a Registered Nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related advanced degree in health related field preferred Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting Minimum of 2 years of healthcare leadership Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications RN license in good standing in the state of employment or a compact state, if applicable Registered Nurse (RN) required American Heart Association Basic Life Support required
