- Clinical practice, supervising and teaching Nephrology fellows, residents, and medical students.
- The applicant will be required to give didactic lectures to Nephrology fellows and participate in academic activities such as journal review, grand rounds, conferences, and lectures.
- Providing consultation on various forms of nephrology disease states, both for diagnosis and treatment in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
- The applicant must have a high level of proficiency in treating patients with glomerular disease as evidenced by attending a dedicated glomerular clinic
- Share attending call responsibilities with the other nephrologists in covering night, weekend and holiday calls as needed. The applicant will round with the team of residents and fellows on such occasions and perform emergency procedures (., dialysis) on patients in the Intensive Care Unit or Dialysis Clinic
- Will be administratively responsible to the Chief, Nephrology section.
- The applicant will be responsible for determining patients suitable for all forms of renal replacement therapies.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervising physician or his/her designee as it relates to scope of practice.

Duties
Patient Care duties:Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
