TRT Espanol is looking for an experienced journalist with a proven record of working in a newsroom. We are looking for candidates who know of developing news videos daily.

This position also requires leadership skills. We are interested in hiring someone who can produce not only high-quality videos but also mentor junior-level producers on the team.

Key Responsibilities

● The Senior Producer will report to the Executive Producer and will be responsible for developing well-reported,well-scripted video content.

● From cleaning up scripts, removing grammar errors, and cross-checking facts, the job requires maintaining spreadsheets too.

● Understanding how to produce video content that can draw high engagement on social media platforms and websites.

● Can implement creative storytelling techniques to make the video content digestible.

● Developing story ideas, pitching them with clarity in edit meetings and executing them from start to finish.

● Following TRT Espanol's editorial guidelines

● Open to working on weekend shifts and adapting to changes in bi-monthly rota

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in the field of media, communications, journalism, political science

● Minimum 7 years of newsroom experience

● A proven track record of producing videos for a journalism platform

● Highly skilled in news writing and video scripting

● A clear understanding of writing smart, creative headlines, and summaries

● Knowledge of editing videos on adobe Premiere will be a plus
