    Expected Outcomes and Requirements:
    Gateway is hiring a Quality Assurance Inspector to use their robust attention to detail, quality, and safe-work behaviors in support our goal of adding 100,000 residential & business passings per year. The Quality Assurance Inspector is expected to contribute in the following significant ways:

    • Interpret construction drawings and right-of-way plans and validate construction operations coincide with drafted plans.
    • Document jobsite work and verify quality standards are being upheld.
    • Update collection maps of job location and progress.
    • Perform a risk assessment for fiber placement path, highlighting obstacles, and identifying alternative routes to ensure potential disruption is mitigated and safety standards are upheld.
    • Follow reporting protocol for any issues relating to safety, quality, or operational processes not consistent with expectations.
    • Work closely with partners to verify safety, quality, and timeliness expectations are being maintained for all active projects.
    • Be the communication funnel with clients, engineers, construction crews, and operations team.
    • Resolve construction issues by working with all stakeholders.
    • Document interactions, site information, and utilities in operational software.

    The successful candidate will bring the following to the table:

    • 3+ years of underground utility experience and knowledge.
    • 2+ years of fiber optic and Outside Plant knowledge.
    • Valid US driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
    • High school diploma required; related trade education preferred.
    • Ability to complete work by means of climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
    • Regularly working outdoors in weather conditions, such as heat, cold, precipitation, etc., combined with regular time working indoors.
    • When traversing a given job site, personal protective equipment, such as safety eyewear & footwear, hearing protection, visibility enhancing garments, etc., are must wear items.
