Diversified individual who likes a challenge. Full time position with a mid-size communication company. Knowledge base in IP Networking, DOCSIS and transport experience
Must live on or near our service area (Lehigh Valley/Berks/Luzerne/Bucks/Northumberland) Counties
Ability to propose and update network architecture changes
Provide training to other engineers and network operations support staff
Travel to job sites as needed
Responsible for the development of documentation related to protocol and architectural designs, changes, migration plans, and other technical documentation for supporting staff
Demonstrate knowledge of implementing and managing provisioning suite (e.g., DHCP, TFTP, DNS, time of day)
Engineer network security components via Palo Alto firewalls

Qualifications/Requirements:
Cisco Network Engineer with solid background configuring and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and VPN concentrators. Well versed in IOS and IOS-XR platforms, as well as some CAT-OS experience is a plus
Cisco CCNP with 5 years of experience or 10+ years equivalent "hands on" work experience
Knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology
Familiarity of IP routing protocols, BGP, IBGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN and Multicast
Knowledge of configuring/maintaining different PON platforms and technologies
