    Description
    This position has the responsibility and authority to drive, create and edit work instructions and associated training materials for all CPP-Minneapolis employees. This individual will be primarily responsible for creating and revising technical work instructions for products manufactured at CPP-Minneapolis

    This position is based in Bloomington, MN and is required to be on-site. Remote applicants will not be considered.

  • Job description
  • Work with various team members to gather information from production technicians, subject-matter experts and technical staff to develop, organize, and write procedures, training materials, and process documentation
  • Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
  • Write easy-to-understand training materials, work instructions and internal communication, as requested
  • Plans, develops, writes, and edits detailed technical instructions for manufacturing personnel
  • Produces PDF and HTML/web-based publications using a variety of tools
  • Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for highly technical and less technical users
  • Documents engineering processes and specifications
  • Recommends formats responsive to technical and user requirements
  • Produces products that conform to company documentation and quality assurance standards
  • Partner with third-party vendors on various projects, as needed
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks and issues and devise mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Plan, schedule and track project milestones.
  • Estimate resources and participant needs to deliver project on time and budget
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals and requirements
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Perform work at the Bloomington facility
  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
  • Qualilfications
  • BS in Technical Writing or Engineering with Technical Writing experience
  • 4 years of experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Articulate Storyline
  • Adobe FrameMaker ​​​​​
  • This is a non-management position
