    Job Overview: The Senior Network Engineer is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the network systems and infrastructure, ensuring operational stability, efficiency, and security. This role involves developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network-related systems, implementing security measures, managing disaster recovery plans, recommending technological upgrades, and providing technical support. Candidates should have a strong background in network and infrastructure management, exhibit superior technical leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and possess excellent communication abilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the technical oversight of networking and telecommunications equipment, ensuring support for various organizational systems.
    • Enforce network security protocols using advanced tools to protect computing assets and ensure data confidentiality.
    • Analyze operational procedures, identify infrastructure issues, and recommend solutions, including hardware and software acquisitions.
    • Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and clear communications to both team members and the broader user community to maintain high service levels.
    • Manage multiple tasks effectively, balancing project work with support for existing network infrastructure.
    • Identify network requirements through analysis and collaboration with users, planning for network reconfiguration and expansion as needed.
    • Maintain network performance through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
    • Support users by providing network-related technical assistance and responding to inquiries.
    • Research and recommend hardware and software solutions, coordinating purchases to meet organizational needs.
    • Stay informed on professional and technical advancements through education, networking, and benchmarking practices.

    Core Competencies:

    • Essential Skills and Technologies for Success:Networking and Collaboration Tools: Proficiency in Cisco Call Manager and Webex.
    • Certification: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
    • Configuration Skills: Expertise in setting up voice gateways and POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service).
    • Understanding of Legacy Systems: Knowledgeable in legacy telephony systems.
    • Cisco Systems: Skilled in managing and operating Cisco Call Manager.
    • Technology Transition Knowledge: Experience with transitioning from 1880s analog systems to modern IP networks.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree preferred.
    • 5-7 years of relevant experience in network and infrastructure management.
    • Strong communication skills, decision-making capability, efficient time management, and a collaborative spirit.
