    Estimated Weekly Salary:
    $2130-$2250

    Job Requirements / Qualifications

    Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Cardiac Stepdown, Stepdown, or cardiac telemetry nursing experience

    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact State license (must be in hand at submission)

    Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)

    NIHSS certification required

    One supervisory reference in specialty (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)

    Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

    COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

    Willingness to float to similar units as needed (J1-2, J33, and ED for similar patient populations)

    Availability to work at least every other holiday during the assignment

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac and post-surgical patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit

    Continuously monitor telemetry and interpret ECGs; respond promptly to arrhythmias and changes in condition

    Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac-specific treatments per orders

    Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, surgery, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop individualized care plans

    Perform accurate and timely documentation using the hospital's electronic health record

    Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, medications, and post-discharge instructions

    Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

    Float to designated units as needed to support patient care and unit operations
