FTS|Flexblue Staffing is currently looking for Manual Machinist in the Houston Area.


JOB SUMMARY:
Manual Machinist position performs a variety of basic machining practices involved in turning, milling,
drilling, and threading operations on turbomachinery components and assemblies to ensure compliance
with specifications and quality requirements.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain a safe working environment and a commitment to safety excellence.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with the safety policy, procedures, and

instructions

• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution.

Training Requirements:

Knowledge Requirements:
The requirements below are the minimum requirements an employee needs to fulfill this position. They are
representative of the knowledge, skills and ability required for the position.

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required.
• Ability and willingness to work in an environment of constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching,

bending and other physical activities.

• Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily

standing and sitting, as required.

• Ability and willingness to work around and use large propane / acetylene torches.
• Ability to operate small lifts, pallet jacks and other lifting equipment (training will be provided on our

specific equipment, but basic skills are required beforehand).

• Basic oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Patience, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Must be familiar with basic machining practices involved in turning, milling, drilling, threading

operations.

• Must be competent reading drawings and following instructions necessary to produce usable and

saleable parts.

• Must be able to hold tolerances as dictated by drawings, written instructions, or industry standards.
• Must be proficient with the use of, the care of, and the calibration of all types of measuring devices

(i.e. micrometers (OD and ID), dial calipers, dial indicators, etc.).

• Must possess and provide basic tools required for the execution of the position of manual

machinist.

• Must be able to comply with all safety directives and programs established by the Company and or

our customers
