Summary

This position is part of the Department of Energy, Office of Science-Fermi Site Office. As a Safety and Occupational Health Manager, you will be responsible for oversight of assigned facilities and activities, as well as supporting site office personnel and subject matter experts for construction activities and experimental facilities.

Duties

As a Occupational Safety and Health Manager, you will:

• Serve as a technical advisor in the field of safety and occupational health as it relates to the regulatory implications of worker safety and health programs.
• Provide advice/direction to personnel engaged in conducting safety and occupational health investigations relating to facilities and activities.
• Promote knowledge management activities by identifying or implementing enhancement methods for safety and occupational health programs and procedures.
• Remain up-to-date on developments within the safety and occupational health field, and recommend appropriate modifications to safety programs and practices.
• Ensure the latest safety and occupational health management concepts, principles, and techniques are incorporated into all aspects of safety programs.
