    Job Description Information System Security Specialist-Cybersecurity The GBS Group has an exciting opportunity for an ISSS
    You will work both independently and with a team of Engineering and technical professionals at NAVSEA on Information Systems projects related to Naval ship systems platforms

    The position will manufacture systems media and software packages and contribute real value by developing, troubleshooting and verifying solutions providing software/hardware security of Naval platforms.


    • Provide technical services in support of delivering cyber-secure systems and solutions.
    • Schedule, participate and document minutes of peer reviews for deliverable software packages.
    • Participate in System Development Plan (SDP) updates.
    • Participate in Configuration Management Plans (CMP) reviews and updates.
    • Collect and present OQE for quarterly program audits.
    • Lock down, burn, verify, compare, label, and virus scan optical media for software/image deliveries.
    • Lock down, burn, verify, compare, label and virus scan optical media for land- based testing.
    • Lock down, burn, verify, compare, label and virus scan optical media for Ready- For-Test audits.
    • Lock down, burn, verify, compare, label and virus scan storage media for Delivery Certification Audits.
    • Generate, collect, and assemble objective quality evidence for optical media delivery audits.
    • Download and install latest virus definitions into virus scanning machines.
    • Maintain operability of designated virus scanning station (Windows 10 pc-based machine.)
    • Operate and maintain disc-labeling machines.
    • Assemble test procedure binders for shipboard ISEA software testing
    Qualifications


    Minimum Education:

    • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in an Engineering, Business, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.

    Minimum Experience:

    • Five (5) years of professional experience within industry in Cybersecurity related field.
    • Background in Quality Assurance basics and System Engineering best practices
    (preferred)

    • Three (3) years of professional experience within industry with working knowledge or prior experience with the Defense Information Assurance & Certification Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
    • Three (3) years of experience within industry with security policies & guidance documents to assist with the preparation and maintenance of process artifacts, traceability documents purposed for compliance with Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
    • Must have or be able to acquire a Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required) Physical / Mental Requirements
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Basic math computational skills
    • Working knowledge of MS Office products including Word and Excel
