    SUMMARYCurative is looking to hire a Pharmacy Manager to serve our members in Austin, TX.

    In thisrole, the Pharmacy Manager will service as the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC), provide consulting services to Health Plan Members ensuring proper dispensation, review and verification of prescribed medications with regulatory guidelines, company policies and procedures.

    This individual will need to work alongside the Director of Pharmacy Operations and the pharmacy team in identifying ways to optimize inventory management and enhance customer experience.

    The Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist will oversee allaspects of pharmacy operations including processes and procedures, inventory, regulatory compliance,quality assurance, automation and technology and budgeting decisions.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Startup and manage a new retail outpatient pharmacy in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and regulatory requirements
    • Serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) in accordance with Texas State Board of Pharmacy rules
    • Participate in pharmacy operations and clinical services in the retail pharmacy
    • Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient information privacy, generics and over the counter products
    • Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verificationdispensing prescribed medications and medication management
    • Issues controlled substances to patients and maintains records required by law
    • Responsible for the opening and closing of the Pharmacy and shift change duties
    • Ensures the accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve customer issues and prevent payment rejections.- Follows-up with insurance companies as well as medical providers and participatesin 3rd party audits
    • Develop and execute departmental policies and procedures, ensuring readiness and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, and accreditation standards
    • Orient, train, evaluate, performance expectations and evaluation, discipline and dischargeemployees in compliance with applicable employment regulations
    • Manage, implement, and coordinate comprehensive pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy services programs
    • Responsible for personnel and budgeting resources for the coordinated delivery of pharmacy services
    • Lead the development, education, implementation and monitoring of all operational initiatives to provide optimal pharmaceutical care
    • Ensure that patient care meets standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights and customer service
    • Oversee and set priorities for the daily operations of the department to assure the provision of quality pharmaceutical care
    • Maintain and oversee staff schedule and ensure adequate shift coverage in all areas of theassigned areas of the department
    • Oversee staff development and actively participates in the educational activities of thedepartment. Mentor staff in leadership, communication and pharmaceutical care skills
    • Verifies that all required pharmacy, pharmacist and technician licenses/registrations are current and valid as required by State, Federal and enterprise guidelines
    • Prepare, approve and monitor the departmental budget which reflects the personnel, equipment, supplies, and drug expenditures necessary to provide pharmacy activities
    • Make operational decisions around how work gets done - quality and productivity standards, measurable goals for employees
    • Use objectives to determine how best to use resources to meet schedules and goals
    • Manage pharmacy services to ensure that all quality, legal, regulatory and accreditation standards are met or exceeded
    • Work adhering to US regulatory and Quality System requirements (21 CFR 820, etc).
    • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Pharmacy experience required, retail and/or closed-door pharmacy experience preferred
    Advanced skills in quality improvement, finance, strategic planning, project management and team buildingREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of five (5) years' Pharmacist experience, which includes two (2) years' retail, long term care or outpatient manager experience
    • Effectively managed a pharmacy team of 3 or more Pharmacists and PharmacyTechnicians
    • Prefer prior experience with opening and/or managing a new retail or outpatient pharmacy in the State of Texas
    • Solid management / supervisory experience including strong team-building skills andan entrepreneurial approach
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills (verbal and written), attentionto detail and exemplary work ethic
    • Strong comprehension of clinical knowledge of pharmaceutical therapies
    • Proficient computer use skills in Windows-based pharmacy programs, MS Officeprograms, and Google documents
    • You have demonstrated your ability to work collaboratively with others and work independently with minimal leadership guidance
    You have clinical certifications including Vaccination and Disease State Management experienceREQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSES and/or CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Registered Pharmacist (RPh)
    • You have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Pharm D degree, or equivalent
    • You have a Pharmacy license in Florida active and in GOOD standing
