    The Cloud Engineer will work closely with all areas of IT to assist in the architecture, design and build of the cloud infrastructure within the Medline based cloud services such as Microsoft Azure.

    The engineer needs to have the aptitude to lead the requirements gathering, analysis, design, and implementation of solutions in public Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

    You will be working in a collaborative team environment to help implement our cloud and container strategies.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
    Act as a technical leader and mentor for team members, helps raise the expertise and knowledge of the team.
    Work with IT stakeholders to identify cloud and infrastructure automation technology needs and identify potential solutions for them
    Define, build, and operate PaaS and SaaS cloud capabilities
    Work closely with Medline infrastructure and application teams to implement and manage secure, scalable, repeatable, and reliable infrastructure environments
    Works closely with and advises Information Security on cloud vulnerabilities and threats by identifying, analyzing and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
    Manage assigned projects and tasks with minimum oversight and ensure timely completion
    Apply changes in our platforms using configurations management and infrastructure-as-code-principles
    Quickly identify trends and patterns, and drive out root causes of complex technical problems, in order to design and implement appropriate solutions
    Maintain on-call rotation and respond within defined SLA's as needed after hours
    Coach team members in technical and professional aspects of their jobs
    Take accountability for the success of the project, including offering input and insight to areas other than just the development, and bearing the responsibility of decisions that need to be made
    Create and update technical standards documentation

    MINIMUM

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

    Work Experience:
    3+ Years of experience deploying PaaS and SaaS based cloud services
    1-2 Years of experience in Terraform deployments
    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Working knowledge of Agile practices within scrum and kanban frameworks
    Experience building and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for critical applications
    Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and routing
    Working knowledge of secrets management (Azure Key Vault, Hashicorp Vault)
    Knowledge of container-based infrastructure running on Azure Kubernetes Service
    Knowledge of CI/CD tools and concepts – Azure Pipelines Jenkins, Artifactory
    Knowledge of infrastructure as code and DevOps processes
    Knowledge of version management, source control tools like Git and Bitbucket
    Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
    Strong technical background with system infrastructure and familiarity with automation tools and processes
    Superior oral and written communication skills; able to communicate at all levels of the organization
    Basic experience supporting applications, operations, and security teams including the ability to provide ongoing architecture and implementation support
    Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
    Willingness to work flexible hours and be available as needed
