Description
Unity Health and Rehabilitation, a Skilled Nursing facility, is seeking an experienced and motivated Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, one of your duties will be to record the patient's responses to treatments and report the outcome of each treatment to the physical therapist.
You will keep the treatment area clean and organized and instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist parents as they practice exercises and functional activities.
Additional responsibilities include:
Preparing for each patient's therapyAssisting in the transportation of patients when moving to or from a treatment areaOrdering depleted suppliesAnswering the phoneFilling out insurance forms and other paperworkReading patient evaluationsBeing very familiar with the Plan of Care the physical therapist set in place for any given patient and, if need be, relaying any concerns about the Plan of CareAdministering balance and muscle strength testsResponsibilities and DutiesBeing a graduate from an accredited PTA school and being PTA Certified in the state of FloridaBeing a professional and ethical team playerBeing CPR certifiedPossessing basic knowledge in all the modalitiesUnderstanding how a goniometer and dynamometer operateAbility to assist in the lifting, pulling and/or pushing or patientsYou must also be compassionate, caring and truly want to help your patients achieve their maximum physical potential
