    The Applied Science Division of the Leidos Innovation Center is seeking a talented technical Program Manager for Autonomous Systems.

    Working within our Guidance, Navigation, Control, and Autonomy branch, you will help our customers solve some of their most challenging problems in autonomous systems by leveraging unique modeling and simulation, software, and algorithm solutions.

    You will leverage existing unique capabilities from across the company as well as propose and develop new capabilities to meet customer requirements.

    With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

    Work will be based in the Dayton, Ohio areaPrimary ResponsibilitiesAs the Program Manager, you will manage a multi-faceted architecture and software development effort of importance to the company and the customer.

    You will identify, develop, engage and retain a high performance program team that crosses organizational and geographical boundaries.

    You will seek out and identify unfilled customer needs in order to grow the scope of your program beyond its current bounds.

    You will keep the program "sold" by not only ensuring on-time Leidos deliveries, but working side by side with the client to understand the nuances of what will help the program succeed in the end user's eyes.

    This will require lots of listening, and maintaining open communications, both with the customer and internal to our team. As our face to the customer, is imperative that you have excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalentA minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience (or Masters degree and 6+ years) in program management and engineering fields4+ years of experience supervising or leading a development team, preferably one with software deliverablesMust be a U.S CitizenMust have an active DoD Secret security clearancePrior experience running programs within the federal market, preferably valued at $5M or moreHistory of successfully leading and managing a program of (at least) moderate complexity, consisting of multiple technical disciplines providing products or R&D innovationsWorking knowledge of industry best practices in program and project management, overseeing software architecture and developmentExperience developing system-level and software architecture solutions to address mission needsFamiliarity with open architectures and open system standardsWillingness to collaborate across internal organizational linesDemonstrated ability to identify, develop, and foster technical talent in order to meet customer requirementsWilling to travel up to 20% as needed to ensure program success of the Leidos team and potential subcontractors across a geographically distributed teamFamiliarity working to government standardsWillingness to work within a collaborative team environment.

    Familiarity with DoD Tactics Techniques and Procedures, especially related to flight projects.
    Experience with requirements management and risk managementPreferred QualificationsWithin commute distance of Dayton, OH.Experience working with a geographically distributed organization.
    Experience providing technical direction to subcontractors as part of an integrated team.
    Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

    Pay Range:


    Pay Range $122, $220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
