    Job Description
    • Direct and manage all sales activities to maximize revenue potential for Group, Business and Leisure Travel business.
    • Manage a team of sales managers and coordinators.
    • Oversee daily Business Review meeting, sales meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required.
    • Review all group contracts for turnover to Event Services.
    • Carry an individual goal as part of the team
    • Oversee/manage the process of::
      • Monthly, quarterly, annual goal-setting
      • Sales funnel review
      • 90-day and annual employment reviews for direct reports
      • On boarding and training plans for new sales team members
      • Monthly group review with Revenue Management / DOSM
      • Contract negotiation
      • Team goal setting
      • Any reporting required for hotel / ownership meetings
    • Contribute to the process of:
      • Monthly forecasting, group revenues
      • Group rate determination
      • Annual rooms revenue budget
      • Annual marketing plan
      • Action plan review with DOSM
      • Projects and additional areas of focus in collaboration with DOSM.
    • Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
    • Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
    • Maintain knowledge of market, competition and customers.
    • Deputize for the Director of Sales & Marketing in their absence
    Qualifications
    • University/College degree and/or experience in a related discipline preferred\
    • + years' experience as a Group Sales Manager in a similar sized luxury hotel with experience in leading a team
    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
      • Ability to articulate the strengths of the hotel and match with the needs of the customer
    • Guest focused with a passion for service excellence
    • Works well under pressure in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
    • Strategic mind looking to advance the hotel's revenue targets
    • Analytical and detail orientated
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Strong selling skills to include negotiation and the closing process
    • Knowledge of Opera or Property Manager, Microsoft Office and Windows XP preferred
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
