Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, develop, and implement personalized treatment plans to improve patients' mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life. You will work across diverse settings—including inpatient hospital units, outpatient clinics, home health environments, and community care—to deliver comprehensive physiotherapy services. Your expertise will help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions by applying evidence-based practices and fostering a supportive healing environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine physical therapy needs, including assessments of physiology and anatomy knowledge.
- Develop individualized care plans that align with patient goals and medical directives, incorporating discharge planning when appropriate.
- Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and exercise programs tailored for orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or other specialties.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies to optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—such as physicians, nurses, and social workers—to coordinate care in inpatient, outpatient, or home & community care settings.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercises, and ongoing care to promote independence post-treatment.
Requirements
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in acute care hospitals, outpatient clinics, or home health environments with a focus on patient care.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to inform effective treatment strategies.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation standards within EMR systems.
- Experience in discharge planning and creating comprehensive care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
- Hands-on skills in physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation methods.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly about their treatment options and progress.
