We are one of four groups in the Intelligent Systems Center (ISC) with expertise in Neuroscience, Robotics, AI, and Complex Systems.

We are seeking an experienced researcher who is motivated to lead pioneering research in foundational AI and interdisciplinary efforts with these other fields.

As a Foundational AI Research Lead * Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to and/or lead research in artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), including (but not limited to) foundation models, large language models, multimodal embeddings, conversational systems, human-machine teaming, and/or generative AI.

    * You will team with other researchers in the ISC to grow and define foundational AI research within the broader scope of intelligent systems for applications of national importance.

    * You will cultivate a long-term vision for your own research and collaborate on technical proposals for internal and external support to bring that vision to reality.

    * You will communicate your research vision, results, and impact to Government sponsors and the broader scientific community through publication and presentation at high-impact venues.

Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you... * Have a Ph.
    D. or equivalent degree in a relevant scientific, mathematics, or engineering field.
