:The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Office of Inspector General/Compliance.
Job Overview: This position is responsible for surveying health care centers with Medicare and Medicaid to assure compliance with federal regulations.Compliance with federal regulations allows the facility to bill Medicare and Medicaid for services rendered.Responsibilities include, determining if care, treatment, and services are consistent with Federal requirements; communicating non-compliance issues with key personnel; conducting follow-up visits to resolve deficient practices.

Qualifications
Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
•Basic medical practitioner knowledge.
•Ability to interpret regulations and make decisions based on those regulations.
•Ability to identify problems, develop and implement solutions.
•Ability to work with a variety of team members to produce a single survey product.
oTwo years of work experience in a healthcare-related field, or other directly related clinical experience.
oMust have passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) for CMS surveyors or be able to pass the examination within one year of hire.
oRegistered Nurse highly desirable.
oOther combinations of related education and work experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024.
