    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Actuary Consultant to join our growing team in Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience working as a healthcare actuary, with a strong background in actuarial analysis, risk assessment, and financial modeling within the healthcare sector. This role also involves significant responsibilities in team development, including interviewing and hiring new actuaries to expand our team.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

    Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a healthcare actuary, with a proven track record of actuarial analysis and financial modeling.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Actuarial Analysis and Reporting:

    • Conduct detailed actuarial analyses, including risk assessments, trend analyses, and financial forecasting.
    • Develop and maintain actuarial models to support pricing, reserving, and other financial assessments.
    • Prepare and present actuarial reports and recommendations to stakeholders.

    Team Development:

    • Play a crucial role in building out the actuarial team by identifying staffing needs and developing job descriptions.
    • Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
    • Mentor and train new actuaries, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

    Client Consulting:

    • Provide expert actuarial consulting services to clients, addressing their specific healthcare-related financial and risk management needs.
    • Collaborate with clients to develop customized solutions and strategies to optimize their financial performance and mitigate risks.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure all actuarial practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws and regulations that may impact actuarial work.

    Data Analysis and Interpretation:

    • Utilize advanced statistical and mathematical methods to analyze large datasets.
    • Interpret complex data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making.
