- Tier I Leadership certificate required
- Tier II Leadership certificate preferred
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience required
- Prior successful leadership experience, preferred
- Ability to work with leaders, faculty/staff, students, parents/ guardians, and the community
- Extensive content and pedagogical knowledge in addition to strong communication skills
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- Facilitate planning and implementing the adopted curriculum.
- Evaluate the curriculum and its implementation and ensure all programs are implemented with fidelity.
- Evaluate and interpret assessment results to make instructional decisions.
- Participate in the MTSS process.
- Implement with fidelity a faculty/staff performance evaluation program as required by the state and/or district.
- Plan appropriate professional learning opportunities aligned to school goals or needs.
- Protect and promote the effective use of instructional time.
- Set and enforce high expectations for student and faculty/staff performance and behavior.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with the community at large.
- Establish an appropriate, clean, and safe physical environment.
- Use resources to support system-wide and school goals.
- Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment annually and use that data to develop a viable and actionable school improvement plan.
- Perform all such duties as required by the Superintendent or designee.
