Location: Must be on-site in McLean, VA | Tuesday – Thursday no exceptions
Assignment Type: 6 months, possible extension
Work Authorization:
Pay Rate: $58-$65 doe

MUST HAVE

Informatica IICS/IDMC, previous Informatica PowerCenter, databases specifically snowflakes and data mart*

PREFERRED

MicroStrategy or Tableau, Scripting in Unix or Python, Data modeling,

To ensure success as an ETL Developer, you should have extensive knowledge of coding languages and data warehouse architecture, be able to see the big picture of a company's data needs, and be able to clearly communicate your ideas to the company. Ultimately, a top-level ETL Developer can create a highly efficient and customized warehouse environment that perfectly suits the data storage needs of the company.

ETL Developer Responsibilities:

• Work with product owners, developers, and analysts to define, develop, and deliver product enhancements and new products

• Assist in the design, development, test, maintenance, and support of Data mart applications

• Troubleshoot and tune existing data mart applications. Assist in creating new or enhanced components of the data mart.

• Implement best practices and methodologies and function as a technical expert in the design, development, modification, and debugging of ETL code.

• Partner with Development Tech Lead and Architects to find innovative solutions

• Work with the team to clarify the requirements and scope and test developed solutions to ensure accurate business outcomes

• Support the development of new software or enhance existing software and integrate into new or modified systems and/or operational environments

• Troubleshooting any issues that may arise

• Provide maintenance and Production support

ETL Developer Requirements:

• 8 or more years of experience in the Data warehousing field

• 4+ years of experience using Informatica PowerCenter 8x/9x/10x

• 3+ years of experience with Informatica Cloud tool - IICS / IDMC.

• Expertise with scripting languages including SQL, Unix Scripting

• Strong experience with Data Modeling and Dimensional Modeling techniques, proficiency in design and implementation of Star and Snowflake schemas

• Knowledge on Snowflake DB

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Experience with Columnar Databases

• Clear communication skills

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
