• The Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) cares for over 4000 cardiology patients annually; procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip and bi-ventricular pacemakers. Approximately 300 open heart surgery patients hours post-op) are discharged from this unit. The CVU also specializes in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies. Our NISUS research department manages many national clinical trials using CVU.

RN uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.

RN assesses, monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications and promotes optimal level of health.

RN is accountable for integrating care within scope of practice licensure, relevant education and experience. RN reports to shift Team Leader and is accountable to the Department Manager. RN utilizes Policies and Procedures to guide job duties. Level specific criteria are evaluated annually and can be found in the MNM RN Clinical Ladder.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Clinical Expertise:

Collaborates with other members of the health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized written plan of care based upon a physiological, psychosocial, spiritual assessment consistent with patient/significant other's changing needs & goals, utilizing the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and the "Caring-Quality Model.

*QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• License to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
• Must be BLS certified.

*QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

• Bachelor's in Nursing degree preferred.
