    General Description:
    Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the Charge nurse oversees the coordination, assignment, and supervision of nursing activities within their team consisting of Registered Nurses, C.N.A.s, and other healthcare professionals. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, the CN ensures safe patient care, appropriate patient placement, discharge planning, and care partner support. Maintaining accurate systems updates is essential, following established standards such as Teletracking, iSchedule ADP, and Acuity Plus. The CN monitors care delivery for quality, timeliness, and effectiveness, embodying the desired Culture of Choice and Parrish Healthcare's philosophies.


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Daily staff assignment
    • Lead daily rounds with timely RN assignment and documentation
    • Participate in patient discharge procedures
    • Ensure timely system updates including patient placement, acuity ranking, and census
    • Support staff with admissions, transfers, and discharges
    • Conduct floor rounds to verify safe work assignments
    • Collaborate with physicians and providers as needed
    • Assist in orienting new care partners
    • Ensure effective communication through white boards, SBAR, and shift reports
    • Promote and monitor Hourly Rounding
    • Act as ADA Coordinator in Emergency Department if applicable

    Requirements:
    • Formal Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required
    • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience
    • Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations: Area Specific: State of Florida RN, BCLS (or within probation period), EKG competency, ACLS or PALS or NRP certification if applicable
