    Job Description Qualifications:

    The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer (Experienced orSenior) to join the Secure Computing Solutions group located in Pleasanton, CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

    Secure Computing Solutions design, develops and manufactures complex embedded system products incorporating Anti-Tamper (AT) and Cyber-resilient technologies. Products include stand-alone integrated circuits (ICs), assembled circuit cards and electronic boxes, programming devices, software, development tools, and associated environments, and test software.

    As a Software Engineer in Boeing's Secure Computing Solutions group, you will be part of the Pleasanton, California-based Integrated Product Team which develops leading-edge, tamper resistant, ARM-based processor solutions.

    As part of the core software team you will use various software development tools, processes and languages to define/design and develop the ecosystem (Software Tools, BSPs, Firmware and support libraries) around our custom processors.

    Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Experienced or Senior Software Engineers.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Designing/developing/integrating embedded C software and C/C++ application software
    • Designing/developing/integrating software tests for validating hardware
    • Writing/reviewing software architecture specification, software design documents
    • Deriving/developing software requirements
    • Supporting hardware/software co-verification efforts
    • Reviewing hardware architecture specification

    In addition to the position responsibilities listed above, Senior Engineers will lead individual contributing engineers.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
    • 5+ years' experience developing and debugging software using high level programming languages (C, C++)
    • 3+ years' experience embedded software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test
    • 3+ years' experience with Source Control systems, such as Git and Perforce

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 1+ years' experience with UI/UX design
    • 3+ years' experience developing software development on one or more common embedded processor types (PowerPC, MIPS, x86, ARM, etc.)
    • Experience with assembly language programming and debugging
    • Experience with developing BSPs for real-time operating systems (Ex. VxWorks, Nucleus, etc.)

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Experienced (Level 3):

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Senior (Level 4):

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Travel:

    Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.

    Summary pay range for Experienced: $112,200 - $151,800

    Summary pay range for Senior: $130,900 - $177,100
