    **Job Description**

    **JOB SUMMARY:**

    Servery Assistants are responsible for maintaining positive impressions for Carle Health. Servery Assistants are responsible for processing cash, debit & credit transactions using a Point of Sales System, answering customers questions, reconciling cash register, making change, making Starbucks drinks, re-stocking of items, and maintaining a safe and sanitized worked area, while giving friendly customer service.

    **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS**

    ANSI Accredited Food Handler Certification within 30 days.

    **OTHER REQUIREMENTS**

    Ability to follow written and oral communication. Ability to verbally communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor and guests of the hospital. Knowledge of cash handling. Ability to complete multiple cash and charge transactions accurately. Friendly Customer Service Skills.

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

    Re-stock food and small wares supplies according to the established par levels.

    Deliver food items accurately and in a timely manner to guest.

    Keep retail or production preparation areas clean and sanitary using the established Public Health District standards.

    Follow guidelines for food handling and sanitation and ensure compliance.

    Prepares food and beverage requests in a timely and accurate manner.

    Complete dish and ware washing duties as assigned.

    Perform accurate cash handling for guest charges.

    Provides friendly customer service.
