- Perform job/inventory costing and associated analytics, supporting activities related to project, product, plant, and customer performance.
- Analyze and determine labor/overhead rates for production facilities based on direct labor, operating expenses, and utilization.
- Variance analysis - labor, material usage, and cost.
- Prepare entries and financial reports consistent with the accounting calendar, including but not limited to standard costing/cost absorption, variance analysis, inventory analysis, and project cost performance.
- Assist with Lean and capital project justifications, analysis, and tracking support as warranted.
- Draft and discuss ad hoc data queries/reports with others in the organization in support of business initiatives.
- Analyze Excess and Obsolete Inventory for reserves and methodology,
- Support SOX compliance/audit efforts in area(s) of responsibility.
- Participate in or lead process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree (relevant field) and 5+ years related work experience.
- Qualified candidates will possess advanced systems (ERP, Excel, Report Query Tools) and analysis skills as well as sound verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- ERP Software - preference AS400, SAP, Epicor.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proficient and accurate data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discernment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)

POSITION SUMMARY
Provide the organization with timely and relevant cost information and analysis, ensure the integrity of the cost accounting system, and support operational initiatives.
POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Mostly an office environment with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor (proper PPE must be worn on manufacturing floor).
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
10% - one week per quarter, plus 1-2 times a year additional for corporate, training, etc.
