    About the Role

    We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health team.

    The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality care to children and families in the Fox Valley area.

    The position highlights include:

    • Clinic located on the campus of St Elizabeth Hospital
    • Several specialties located onsite

    The responsibilities of this role include:

    • Evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills
    • Recommending, participating in, and working to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients
    • Accepting patient referrals from other physicians and acting as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses
    • Participating in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested
    • Providing appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appealing all denials in a timely manner
    • Participating in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules

    This is a 350-bed hospital with employed primary, specialty, and subspecialty care clinicians. Our hospital features a new 90-bed hospital tower and is committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective care to all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable, regardless of their ability to pay.

    We offer strong 24/7 Hospitalist, Emergency Care, and ICU services. Additionally, we are a certified stroke and chest pain center and a Level III trauma center.

    Requirements

    Licensure/Certification/Registration:

    • One or more of the following required:
      • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

    Education:

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
