- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong clinical and human relations skills. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA. Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients. Safely and effectively operate the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon specialty area), Personal Computer, Photocopier, Printer, FAX Machine, and Telephone.
